Pain Management: The Basics and Beyond.

This session focuses on key concepts of pain management that are essential for optimal medication use, yet often go unrecognized by hospice and palliative care teams. Metabolic considerations, dosing parameters, and toxicity profiles are reviewed. This session will ensure that both seasoned clinicians and those newer to hospice and palliative care feel confident in their ability to safely and effectively manage their patients’ pain.

Montessori is more than folding towels. We’ll dive into examples of Montessori for engagement, care delivery and as interventions for behavioral expressions. This will be an active session with a brief introduction to Montessori methods, then we’ll pivot into examples, break out into groups to discuss case studies, and we’ll participate in hands-on engagements

The Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank works to restore sight through transplantation and research. In our presentation we highlight the importance of eye tissue donation, the steps you can take to educate and provide the opportunity of donation for your patients and how you can become an ambassador of sight.
